Cite des Arts is located in downtown Lafayette at 109 Vine Street between Jefferson St. and Third St. Vine
Street is located off Jefferson Street between
Dwyer's and Grant Street behind the old Evangeline Hotel.
From I-10
From the East: Leave I-10 at junction 103a and turn South on I-49.
Follow I-49 South until it becomes Evangeline Thruway. Take a Right onto
Jefferson Street. Take the underpass under the train tracks. As the road emerges
from the underpass, cross Grant Street at the light, then take the next Right
onto Vine Street.
From the West: Leave I-10 at the junction with Highway 182
(University Avenue). Travel South (follow sign for the University). Take a Left
onto Congress Street. Follow Congress until it splits. At the split, keep left.
Vine Street will be on the Right.
Coming from Johnston
Street from the mall area: Take a left
on Jefferson St.
off of Johnston.
Go about two blocks you come to a stop sign. That is where Jefferson
curves into the downtown area. The next major lighted intersection you cross
will be Vermilion St.
You go about 3 ½ more blocks and Vine
St. will be on your left. Watch for Dwyers on your
right and Guamas Restaurant on your left. The corner after Guamas is Vine St. Vine St.
is only one block long. We sit on the left hand side the last half of the block
at 109 Vine. There are blue tourism
signs that sit on Jefferson St.
coming from both directions that say “Cité des Arts” with and arrow pointing
down Vine St.
Also the street sign is in French so Vine is spelled Vigne.
From Evangeline Thruway: Turn on to Jefferson St. Heading
into the downtown. You immediately go under the overpass. When you come up, you
come to a set of lights. Go one more block. Vine Street is the 1st
street on your right side. Turn Right onto Vine. Vine St. There are blue tourism
signs that sit on Jefferson St.
coming from both directions that say “Cité des Arts” with and arrow pointing
down Vine St.
Also the street sign is in French se the last half of the block
at 109 Vine.
