About The Event
Angels in America: Millennium Approaches is the first part of Tony Kushner's Pulitzer Prize-winning two-part play, a "Gay Fantasia on National Themes" set in 1980s New York City during the AIDS crisis, exploring themes of sexuality, politics, religion, and identity through interconnected stories, including a man with AIDS, his lover, a closeted Mormon lawyer, and the infamous Roy Cohn, culminating in a supernatural visitation from an angel.
