Oof. Comedy Game Show

 Oof. is a comedy game show in which anyone in the audience can be a comedian.

Q. How does it work?

Nine (9) contestants will be selected via raffle ticket before the show begins. They will wait back stage to be prepped as the comedians are performing.

Before each round, each contestant will be randomly assigned a comedian.

The comedians will be seated on one side of the stage and a microphone and stool will be set up on the other side of the stage.

The contestants will be called up one at a time to read 4 jokes each from a bucket - 3 jokes from the 3 different comics plus a joke from the host.

If their assigned comic’s joke gets laughs, they get 3 points. If the host’s joke (“Oof.” jokes) get laughs, they get 1 point. The other 2 comic’s jokes are worth 2 points each so that all 4 jokes getting laughs results in 8 total points.

The joke’s writers will be revealed after each contestant finishes reading all 4 jokes. Points will then be assigned accordingly. The contestant with the most points at the end of each round goes on to the 4th and final round.

In the final round, the 3 previous winners will return to the stage with a reset scoreboard to read the remaining jokes. The winner of the 4th round wins a prize.

The comedian whose jokes did best gets to present the prize. The comedian whose jokes did worst has to apologize to the audience for letting them down. But they can do that on their own after it’s all over.

4-Comic Clause:

For a show with 4 comics, 1 will sit out for each round so that each comic participates in 3 rounds. The comic not on stage will not have jokes in the bucket.

Q. Do I have to come up if you call me?

Taking a raffle ticket  is completely optional. If you don’t want to be in the show, just don’t take a ticket!
