About The Event
This 90-minute workshop introduces the technical skills for safe and effective stage combat in improvisational theatre. Covers the basic techniques for falling, striking, choking, and being dead. Also covers space object and physical effect for the core "weapons": club, knife, sword, spear, handgun, shotgun.
For beginner through advanced performers. Students must dress for safety: loose but not baggy clothing, no jewelry or watches, shoes closed at both toe and heel, hair tucked back, nails neatly trimmed. Pants extending below the knee, not skirts, are strongly recommended. Students may also want to consider use of knee and elbow padding.
